In 2018, Morgan Liner assumed her current position as Corporate Secretary Treasurer and head of operations. Under Morgan's leadership, we have become more active than ever in our industry and our community. QSC was awarded the Diversity Leadership Award by Avetta in 2024.

QSC, Inc. inspectors perform quality inspection services for Transmission Construction and Construction Support Departments.
Substation Maintenance
Testing, repairing and replacing vital substation assets, including transformers, circuit breakers, protection equipment, CTs, PTs, CCVTs, batteries and transmission lines.

QSC was established in 1992 by the late Charles A. Chesnut, or “Chesnut” as many in the power industry refer to him. Chesnut used his years of experience, along with knowledge of the substation construction and service industry to grow the company. By 1995 QSC became incorporated in the state of Georgia. QSC was founded on the principles of quality, honesty, integrity and reliability.

For the past 30 years and counting, these principles have guided QSC in contract work with Georgia Power Company and Georgia Transmission Corporation. In 2012, upon the passing of “Chesnut” the leadership role of the company was assumed by his son, Jay Chesnut.

QSC is a diverse team of experienced professionals. Together, our employees have provided 179 years of experience & service. All of our employees are subject to background checks and drug screens. QSC also actively participates in E-verify and Georgia New Hire for each employee.

​QSC is centrally located in West Georgia where we have access to most major highway & interstate systems. This central location allows us to easily serve all of the Southeast. QSC maintains a fleet of new, fully equipped trucks configured for substation service and maintenance.

Hurricane Helene caused extensive damage to Georgia's electrical infrastructure. QSC was proud to assist in repair efforts.
